Hours after Republic TV accessed a picture of Navjot Singh Sidhu posing with Hafiz Saeed aide and Khalistani separatist Gopal Singh Chawla during his ongoing visit to Pakistan for the groundbreaking of the Kartarpur corridor, a video has emerged making clear the kind of venom Chawla has been spewing towards India.
The video has been recorded just over two months ago, as per sources, and sees Chawla, who had been called a terrorist by none other than Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, issuing vile threats and using disgusting language against India.
Chawla, an aide of 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed, says:
"If you don't understand then you will be destroyed, you Indians. Your stories won't be told in History. If India dares to attack Pakistan, the entire Sikh community will join the Pakistan Army. And I want to tell you this Indians -- this is Pakistan. Like you call Bharat your mother, Pakistan is our father. And a father is always a father. And mother should always remain under the control of the father and she should always be scared of the father. The Sikh community will fight you and we will throe this pen down and pick up the gun. After that we'll teach you such a lesson that you'll be wiped out. If you dare to look at Pakistan with a twisted eye, we will gouge your eyes out. Pakistan zindabad, Pakistan zindabad."
In the recent goings on at the Kartarpur Corridor groundbreaking in Pakistan, Chawla had been omnipresent -- a clear provocation to India given that the ceremony was attended by Pak PM Imran Khan, Pak Army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa and foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while Union Ministers from the Modi government Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Hardeep Singh Puri were guests. He had hobnobbed with persons at the event, and later, Republic TV accessed a picture of him posing with Sidhu.
When contacted, Chawla told Republic TV -
"Sidhu is the messenger of love. If you will criticize Sidhu then it means you are criticizing God. He is a very close friend('jigri yaar') of our Pakistan's Prime Minister. Kartarpur Corridor was like a gift to him from Imran Khan. He came and he spread love in Pakistan. Don’t know why you media guys criticise him always. You should praise him. It’s only because of him that this tension between the two countries is reducing"
"I was overwhelmed that during the ceremony I also met Pakistan Army Chief and other leaders. I just got an opportunity to shake hands with him. It was a big moment for me. I only said 'I love you Army chief' to him."
