Pakistan: Terrorists kill 6 barbers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, bodies recovered from Mir Ali area

Islamabad: Six barbers from Punjab were kidnapped and killed by unidentified terrorists, as per local police reports on Tuesday in In the northwest region of Pakistan’s KPK. The incident occurred in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, near the Afghan border. The barbers, who owned shops in the local market, were taken the day before and their bodies were found today.
No group has claimed responsibility for the killings yet. Police are actively searching for the perpetrators behind this heinous act.
This event follows another distressing incident in the same province, where five labourers were also murdered by unidentified attackers while they were in their tents just a few days ago.
These acts of violence come at a time when the region is grappling with increased security concerns, particularly with the upcoming national elections just a month away. Terrorism and security issues have been on the rise, affecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially the areas around Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan.
Pakistan has recently faced a surge in terrorist activities orchestrated by various extremist groups. According to a report from the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa witnessed the highest number of terror attacks in November, totaling 51 attacks that resulted in 54 deaths and 81 injuries.
