Dozens of Palestinians protested on Friday in the West Bank city of Hebron against Israel's plan to annex parts of the occupied West Bank.

Protesters carried cartoons linking their cause to the death of George Floyd in the United States.

The cartoons portrayed an Israeli soldier kneeling on a Palestinian, alongside an American policeman kneeling on the neck of a black man.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has indicated he may begin moving forward with annexation next month, in line with the Middle East peace plan set out by the Trump administration.

The Palestinians - and most of the Arab world along with much of the international community - have denounced the plan.
