Children in Argentina were allowed to go out of their houses for the first time on Saturday, since the mandatory lockdown began on March 20.

The exception for the quarantine measures is only valid on weekends, and families must follow a system based on their national id number to avoid large congregations.

The park in the green Palermo neighborhood was lively, but it is still far from the usual crowds that visited it before the mandatory lockdown.

Earlier this week some businesses were also allowed to open for the first time, including music shops and home appliances stores.

Up to Saturday, the Argentine government had confirmed 7,479 COVID-19 cases and 363 related deaths.
