Bay Area teacher's kid-friendly remix of Truth Hurts garners attention

A school teacher in Bay Area who is known for using popular songs in order to inspire her students garnered a lot of attention after a video of her singing along with her students a clean version of American singer, Lizzo's song went viral. According to reports, even the singer took notice of the incident.

A teacher's 'kid-friendly' way

According to reports, the Pitsburg Unified School district had posted the video on their Facebook page and it quickly went viral. The teacher, Dorothy Mallari, had created a clean version of one of Lizzo's songs, Truth Hurts, for her second-grade class at the Los Medanos Elementary School in Pittsburg, United States.

While talking to a local media outlet, Dorothy, said that she chooses a new song every day to start the day with a lot of positive energy. Mallari further added that she wanted to use the song that was her jam but was aware that she had to change the original lyrics and said that instead of a romance gone bad as given in the original lyrics, she focused on friendship, positivity, and helpfulness.

An effort to spread positivity

She also said that there are times in life when things get out of hand and as soon as one starts singing a song to be in that moment and feel light, they feed off positive energy in order to spread more positivity.

After the video went viral, the Juice hitmaker also responded to the video by posting a tweet wherein she called it the best thing she had watched that particular day.

A Twitterati posted a tweet wherein he called the teacher's way of inspiring her students one of the most wonderful things he had seen.

Another user called the incident very cute and said that the teacher really enjoyed her job as it was evident from the way she had bonded with her students and congratulated the teacher for taking the time out to influence her students and spread positivity.
