A memorial was held in Beirut for the victims of the massive explosion that left at least 160 dead and about 6,000 wounded last week.

Saint George Maronite church bells rang out and the Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque issued a call to prayer, exactly one week after the blast.

Crowds gathered in the port area to pay their respects as the names of the victims were displayed and read out as part of the memorial.
