Belarus President gets assist during ice hockey game despite global Coronavirus outbreak

Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko took part in an hockey match of his Minsk-based Presidential hockey team against a side from the Grodno region on Saturday and even managed to bag himself an assist.

Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko took part in an hockey match of his Minsk-based Presidential hockey team against a side from the Grodno region on Saturday and even managed to bag himself an assist.

The game, which was the semi-final of the amateur Republican leagues - took place at the "Lebyazhy park" hockey arena.

Hockey is one of Lukashenko's biggest hobbies which he practices quite regularly.

Belarus is one of a few countries which hasn't imposed any strict measures related to coronavirus spread.

The hockey arena on Saturday was filled with fans and the Belarussian football league is the only one in Europe which is continuing with its fixtures.
