Chen Long won the road race in second edition of Giro d'Italia Ride Like A Pro in Shanghai

Chen Long of China won the men's road race on Sunday in the Giro d'Italia Ride Like A Pro which was staged in Shanghai, China. Chen, the third place winner of last year - the first edition of the event, crossed the finishing line in 2 hours, 13 minutes, 16.4 seconds, followed closely by Li Jinsong whose result was 0.1 second behind.

A two-day cycling festival bringing new event concept as well as the Italian atmosphere for the local cycling fans, this event was launched in 2019 when two-time Tour de France winner Alberto Contador was crowned in the road race professional group.The circuit this year has been extended from previous 70 kilometers to 89 kilometers, covering not only Shanghai municipality but also neighboring Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, top-class pro riders from overseas were missed but around one hundred of local riders, male and female participated the race on Sunday.Thousands of local cycling fans participated the event on the weekend, which was well organized with road closures and strict epidemic prevention measures, according to the local organizers.
