People say laugh away your troubles, but that isn't the case always as a woman in China got to know the hard way, when she was left with her mouth stuck open as she laughed too loudly. According to reports, a woman laughed so loudly that she dislocated her jaw in the process. The incident occurred on a train to Guangzhou South Railway Station in China's Guangdong province on September 8. The woman also got on-board help when a doctor responded to the distress call. The woman later revealed that she had a similar incident during pregnancy.
The woman, however, was lucky and got help on the train itself. According to several media reports, Doctor Luo Wensheng of Liwan Hospital helped after an appeal was made on-board that was blared through the train's compartments. Dr. Wensheng while narrating the whole incident said that she rushed over and found the passenger unable to speak or close her mouth. Then she checked her vitals by taking her blood pressure, asked her some questions and learned that the passenger has actually dislocated her jaw.
According to various reports, The doctor warned the woman that he was not an expert but sort of knew how to do the procedure and also told her that there was a chance that he may not be able to fix it, the patient was quite nervous and her facial muscles were all very tense which led to it being a failed attempt in the first try. Additionally, the doctor said that he had advised her to go to a hospital instead but, train staff told us that the next train station is not for another one hour. The passenger was getting agitated and wanter her jaw set right away so the doctor decided on another try. The doctor was able to reset her jaw on his second try while she was distracted. The passenger later also revealed that she has dislocated her jaw earlier as well while vomiting during pregnancy.
