Colombian President Ivan Duque says he won't be pressured into allowing domestic football to return despite play restarting in Europe.

With professional football having made its return to Germany, Duque said his decision making regarding football won't be impacted by "pressure, let alone political attitudes."

Domestic football in Colombia has been suspended since the 13th of March and the South American nation continues to enforce one of the world's strictest lockdown measures.

Colombia reported its biggest daily increase in new Coronavirus cases on Sunday with 998 new infections.

Despite increasing numbers, the nation's caseload has been smaller than other nations in the region.
