The New York City that we all know from shows like Seinfeld, Sex and the City, 30 Rock, may not be such an in-your-face cold place where people have no time for anyone but themselves.

The following story shows how the police in the city gave their all to help a newly-engaged couple who lost their engagement ring and managed to retrieve it.

The New York City Police on Saturday posted a tweet asking the couple to come to the station and take their ring home.

In the video, a man is seen looking for the ring after proposing to his girlfriend The ring seems to have fallen into the grate below them. The couple is seen looking for the ring desperately.

The grate is eight feet deep and it was not possible for the couple to look for it by themselves. They even called the police to find the ring but emergency service officers were not able to retrieve it.

The city police has now found the ring and is looking for the couple. The official Twitter handle of the Midtown North Precinct and the New York City have tweeted asking people to reach the couple so they can take the ring home.

According to reports, the man is 5'8" or 5'9" tall and has short brown hair and a beard. The woman is 5'5" with blonde hair.

On an average at least 350,000 people visit Times Square in midtown Manhattan. During busy days, 460,000 pedestrians walk through Times Square on its busiest days.

The police's job is like finding a needle in a stack of hay.

This heart-warming story truly makes us think of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, a funny sitcom on an excellent team of New York City cops determined to be their for fellow New Yorkers.
