In a response to the allegations by English professional footballer Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen Rooney, Rebekah Vardy took to Instagram to speak her side of her story. Coleen Rooney had earlier accused Leicester City player Jamie Vardy's wife, Rebekah Vardy of sharing her false personal life stories to a UK newspaper. Rooney said on social media on October 9 that several of her private stories, including one about gender selection treatment in Mexico, had been sent to the British tabloid without her permission. The footballer's wife said that she knew for certain from whom such news was leaked. Pointing at Rebekah Vardy, the wife of the Leicester City and England striker Jamie Vardy, Rooney said that for years someone she trusted to follow her on the personal Instagram account has been the regular informer to the tabloids.

Coleen's allegations on Rebekah

Coleen further said that by now, the media has a lot of her personal information, which includes her friends and family. She added that all of this happened without her knowledge. When she started to doubt and rethink who could be involved in leaking all that, Rooney for various reasons zeroed down on Rebekah. Elaborating her process of investigation, the star footballer's wife said that she blocked everyone else on her Instagram account except Rebekah. To her wonder, she found that the exact story was leaked.

Rebekah dismisses allegations

In response to the allegations, Rebekah Vardy, later on, took to her Instagram handle saying that Rooney could have just called Vardy to tell her about the issue rather than posting it on Instagram. She further dismissed Coleen's allegations saying that there were various occasions when the journalists ask questions but she never speaks to anyone after Coleen in particular. If what Coleen thought was happening, (the leaks) then Rebekah could have just changed her password and checked if the issue persisted. On Instagram, there are many unknown followers. She herself has followed many unknown people, she admitted.
