Google to announce the National winner of 'Doodle for Google' on Children's Day

The winner of the 'Doodle for Google' competition will finally be announced by Google on Thursday, November 14, as the country will celebrate Children's Day

The winner of the 'Doodle for Google' competition will finally be revealed on Thursday, November 14, as the country will celebrate Children's Day. The multinational company organises a doodle contest every year for school-going children in India and the doodle submitted by the National winner will be featured on the Google homepage tomorrow. The theme of this contest in 2019 was 'When I grow up, I hope..' giving the participants an opportunity to shape their imagination through creativity. The competition was held in four groups, and four entries from each group were national finalists. The entries were also put for voting until November 6.

Prizes for National winner

Based on the cumulative score after public voting along with the scores suggested by guest judges and panel of Google, the executives will choose one winner. The National winner will win a college scholarship of five lakhs along with a technology package for their schools of two lakhs. Furthermore, the prize winner will also get a trip to the Google office along with a certificate and a trophy of achievement. According to the website, the students will also get any of the Hardware as well as 'Googley Schwag'. Other than that, each member of the four group winners, who did not become the national winner will also receive a 2.5 lakhs college scholarship along with a technology package of one lakh. The national finalists will also receive Google hardware along with a certificate and a trophy.

Judges panel

The guest judge panel for contributing to the decision of 'Doodle for Google' winner includes YouTube star Prajakta Kohli, a cartoon character Chota Bheem, and a Doodler Neha Sharma. The entries were received only till 10 pm on September 30. The participants had to download and print the entry form and then doodle on it with a full description. The perimeters on which the judges shall declare the National winner will be artistic merit, creativity, and theme communication. The one winner will be among the 20 finalists which were put to public voting from October 25 to November 6.
