Greta Thunberg criticised by Piers Morgan, calls her angry and abusive

Piers Morgan, an English broadcaster bashed the climate change activist, Greta Thunberg on Twitter on Thursday and stated that she has "abused loads of adults"

Piers Morgan, an English broadcaster criticised young climate change activist, Greta Thunberg on Twitter on October 3. According to Morgan, "Thunberg has just been very angry about climate change." In his tweet, he further stated that she has "abused loads of adults" and that she is terrifying children. Greta Thunberg received a lot of appreciation and limelight after her speech on climate change at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). However, it has been reported that Greta Thunberg has also received lots of flak on the internet. Several other leaders have come to defend Thunberg on Twitter after Piers Morgan's statement. 

Twitter defends Thunberg

Leaders and celebrities like Zara Larsson and Adam Zwar came in defence of Thunberg on Twitter. They have mocked Morgan and stated that "Thunberg is angry because she cares."

The Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg drew people's attention across the world after her powerful speech at the United Nations on climate change on September 23. She won the Right Livelihood Award, also known as the 'Alternative Noble Prize'. The 16-year old reportedly skipped school to sit outside the Swedish Parliament in defiance to protest about global warming. She promptly called the demonstration a ‘School strike for the climate'.
