Hawaii reports first death from coronavirus pandemic

The state of Hawaii on Tuesday reported its first death from the coronavirus pandemic. The state Department of Health did not immediately provide details.

Altogether 224 people in Hawaii have tested positive for the disease, including 20 new cases Tuesday. Thirteen people have required hospitalization.

Wyoming is now the only state in the nation that has not recorded a death from the disease.

Hawaii last week mistakenly reported an individual had died from COVID-19 but later retracted the information, saying the state laboratory had incorrectly recorded and reported test results.
