In a tragicomedy real-life episode, two teenagers were arrested for stealing a small airplane in the United States. According to the statement shared by the Uintah County Sheriff’s

Office, the investigators are of the opinion that this robbery was carried out by two boys- aged 14 years and 15 years old.

The police statement read, ‘At this time, investigators believe the boys, ages 14 and 15, left a group home on the Wasatch Front earlier this week and made their way to Eastern Utah, where they have been staying with friends in the Jensen area.” 

The two teenagers got hold of a tractor and drove it till the private airstrip, then the boys sneakily robbed a fixed-wing single-engine aircraft.

A Facebook post released by Uintah County Sheriff’s Office said that based on information obtained by investigators, the teens mentioned flying back towards the Wasatch Front, but decided not to and returned to Vernal where they landed at the airport.

Eyewitnesses said that they spotted a light sports aircraft flying low, along US-40 near Gusher. Ultimately landing at an airport in Vernal after flying for 15 miles.

Both teens are being held in the Split Mountain Youth Detention Center in Vernal on multiple charges. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

The Facebook page that posted the incident has already been shared over 400 times.
