Spreading political terror: CHRF

Images showing Sham wearing a red t-shirt and lying on the street, covered with blood have emerged online. The CHRF then said that it is not tough to link the terrible event to spreading political terror so that the protesters are threated and there is and prevention of legal practice of rights. The CHRF is a group which backs non-violence and has always organized peaceful marches, including the ones this summer that opposed a bill on extradition to China. The official Facebook page of the CHRF posted about the attack on Wednesday. His fans and supporters have commented on the post wishing him a speedy recovery. There have been months of protests in Hong Kong including peaceful marches and violent unrest to withstand the bill which has now been scrapped.

Rise of violence

There have been many assaults before as well on the protest leaders by the pro-Beijing supporters according to media reports. The violence in the region has risen up in the past few months where now even the pro-democracy demonstrators have begun use of harsh means like beating up people who do not agree with their objectives or are seen is someone loyal to the government. Amnesty International has asked the administration to investigate the matter which they described as something really terrifying. On October 16, Beleaguered Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam stated that the police forces in Hong Kong, have taken more than 2200 people into custody in relation to the 4 month long anti-government demonstrations that have plagued the semi-autonomous state of Hong Kong.
