A movable Igloo themed hotel in the North Pole has garnered a lot of attention recently because of a pricey package that requires people to shell out $100,000. Dubbed as a once in a lifetime experience that happens only once a month in April, it has been proposed by the head of a Finnish luxury hospitality company Luxury Action, Janne Honkanen, who is planning on making it an exclusive yet unforgettable experience.

A 'Freezing' experience

The luxury venture will witness the opening of a hotel on wheels at the freeing North Pole and will give a unique and eco-friendly experience to all those who can shell out $105000 for a package of 5 nights. The hotel is ready to welcome its first set of guests in the year 2020 and will be operational in the month of April from thereon.

Honkanen said that he felt it is the right time to offer an amazing experience to his guests with explorers and scientists in a secure way.

The guests willing to take up this rare offer will get the chance to stay in a glass-walled and a heated Igloo at night where they will get the opportunity to have a starry experience and probably have the chance to witness the Northen lights through the glass made ceilings above them and during the day they will be on a sightseeing tour, meeting locals and researchers working nearby and if lucky catch the sight of the Arctic wildlife.

A scientist at a senior level by the name of Ted Scambos said that the guests travelling to the arctic in the month of April will be experiencing a short day along with freezing temperatures that may vary from  -20 to -40 degrees. He also said that the trip is not for the weak.

He stated that the short trip has been scheduled before the summer sets in. The package will begin in a group of Norwegian islands in the arctic, Svalbard with only one night being spent at the North Pole.

Janne said that the month of April is the safest to travel to the freezing lands otherwise one can encounter conditions not suitable to the human body and this makes it a very exclusive travel destination.

The expensive deal includes plane tickets from the Lapland area in Finland to the North Pole, a supervisor, security, clothing and food services. Honkanen said that this travel to have a meaning as he is concerned that luxurious travel sometimes loses what it stands for. He further added that he wanted the people taking up this deal to have a look at the rare ecosystem of the freezing land and understand their role in the changing of earth's climatic conditions with a hope to spread this message to the people.

A small price for a noble cause

Witnessing the effect climate change is having over the Arctic circle, its food source, animals and fishermen whose lives depend upon the stability of the environment around them, Janne felt that it would change the way people think about the planet they are living on and hopefully they work towards restoring the earth to its former self. It is important to let people witness such things with their own eyes.

A luxury travel experience with a social message by Janne Honenken has been an eye-opener for people who have already travelled along with him as they have stayed in touch to talk about ways that would ease the burden on the North pole through effective ways of recycling and offsetting their carbon footprints created from commercialization
