People in the West Bank settlement Efrat on Wednesday had mixed reactions to US President Donald Trump's plan aimed at ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The blueprint, jointly announced by the US and Israel on Tuesday, allows Israel to immediately annex virtually all of its settlements in the occupied West Bank, which are viewed as illegal by the Palestinians and most of the international community.

Settlers in Efrat said the plan "would resolve a lot of our problems" such as borders.

However others voiced their concerns about the creation of a Palestinian state.

Nearly 430,000 Israeli settlers reside in the occupied West Bank and another 215,000 live in annexed east Jerusalem, territories the Palestinians want for their future state, according to Israeli anti-settlement watchdog Peace Now.

The West Bank is home to more than 2.5 million Palestinians, and east Jerusalem is home to more than 300,000 Palestinians.
