The French president said "anti-Semitism is coming back" in France and in Europe and that it "must not solely be the problem of the Jewish people".

Emmanuel Macron was addressing the French community living in Israel on Thursday before attending a ceremony at Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial, marking 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp.

Talking about the tense situation in the region, Macron said he was "attached to the security of Israel" and that France was fighting "vigorously against the nuclearization of the Iranian regime" but added that, at the same time, he was "attached to the respect of the international law".

Dozens of world leaders are attending the largest-ever gathering focused on commemorating the Holocaust and combating modern-day anti-Semitism.
