Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte spoke out against inequalities across the globe during his speech to the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday.

Saying the pandemic has upended our lives for nearly two years, Duterte condemned the use of COVID booster shots in wealthy countries while countries like the Philippines "consider half doses just to get by."

He called the situation "shocking beyond belief and must be condemned for what it is, a selfless act that can neither be justified rationally or morally."

Duterte asked the U.N to help make the transition to a green economy more equitable and not come at the expense of developing countries economic vitality.  "It simply cannot be or it would be another travesty of justice," Duterte said.
