A second cargo plane bringing 10 million protective masks from China arrived in Vatry airport on Monday to bridge over the shortage of protective equipment against the new virus in France.
A first cargo plane landed at Charles de Gaulle airport on Sunday, bringing from China 100 tonnes of medical supplies, including 5.5 million face masks.

French Health Minister Olivier Veran said on Saturday that a "sanitary air bridge" to China was being put in place as the government ordered more than 1 billion protective masks, mainly from China.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.

For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and could lead to death.
