Romania importing more supplies for virus cases

Romania has been able to bring in more medical supplies in to the country, as number of people infected with the new coronavirus reaches 4.761.

Romania has been able to bring in more medical supplies in to the country, as number of people infected with the new coronavirus reaches 4.761.

A military airplane landed early on Wednesday at an army base near Bucharest, unloading 45 tonnes of equipment.

The shipment included one hundred thousand protection suits from Seoul, South Korea.

It was  the third such transport since the outbreak of virus in Romania

On Wednesday afternoon a commercial fligh arrived from China with an estimated three million medical masks.

The COVID-19 death toll in Romania has now reached 215.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.

For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and could lead to death.
