Life began returning to the streets of Sarajevo on Wednesday, with hotels, restaurants and café-bars reopening after almost two months of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. Hotel owners are expecting the first tourists to follow all the prescribed measures, including disinfection and social distancing.Physical distancing and other protective measures including disinfectant spray inside of the hotel and the entrance has been kept in mind.

The citizens of Sarajevo welcomed the first morning coffee in their favourite cafe. Wednesday was a big day for caterers who welcomed their first guests after almost two months. Although tables are separated, large groups are not allowed, and everywhere there is plexiglass and surgical masks, no one seems to mind as people enjoy the sunshine again.People were also found dining out with their family at the hotel's rooftop cafe bar. Workers at the hotel are stricly instructed to  clean the table with a disinfectant spray.

Salmin Buco, Manager of MY café, said that his staff is motivated to work after the lockdown. "After almost 60 days of not working in this terrible situation we are feeling motivated and we want to work. Everything is a little bit weird, but anyway it's better to work than not to work and this is our first day. We tried to use most of the space we have in our terrace. We are taking care of every regulation that the government told us to do for disinfection, just like they told us. So we are hoping to stay working as long as we can."

The guests were seen having a great time post the lockdown. Maja, one of the guests of the café felt amazed coming to the cafe for the first time with his friends. "I feel amazing, I'm here again for the first time with my best friend I'm drinking coffee after two months we used to drink coffee like this every day so I think this is a really special day for us and we feel amazing." So far, Bosnia has 2,171 virus cases, with 120 deaths.
