Six Romanian citizens who were evacuated from the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan amid the coronavirus outbreak were flown back to Bucharest on Saturday

Six Romanian citizens who were evacuated from the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan amid the coronavirus outbreak were flown back to Bucharest on Saturday.Footage showed a military plane landing at an army base, followed by passengers disembarking and entering an emergency service vehicle.

All of the passengers tested negative for the coronavirus during medical examinations in Tokyo but will be quarantined in Romania for two weeks at an undisclosed location.Two other Romanian citizens who were on the cruise ship that tested positive for the virus are being treated in hospital in Japan, while another nine - all ship crew members - remain on board.
