Snake in the living room: Australian family wakes up to find scaled visitor, netizens can't spot it

In what can only be described to have been a rather unsettling morning, an Australian family woke up to find a python resting in their house.

In what can only be described to have been a rather unsettling morning, an Australian family woke up to find a python resting in their house. 

In pictures posted by the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers, a snake was seen curled up on the deck in a family's verandah. The seven-foot-long unwanted guest was spotted by the family in the wee hours of the morning. Following the encounter with the snake, the family hailing from Queensland summoned the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers who came and captured it.

Sharing a snap of the snake of Facebook, the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers asked the viewers to spot the snake in the living room. However, the reptile had camouflaged itself so perfectly with its surroundings that the viewers found it difficult to spot. 

"Spot the snake," wrote Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers on Facebook, sharing a picture of the deck where the python was found.

However after several people complained that the snake could not be spotted, Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers shared a video for the benefit of the netizens.

"Carpet Pythons are the most common snake we catch and dont seemed to bothered by humans. They will often hang out in entertaining areas like this and won't move even if people are around. Majority of other snakes will retreat to cover when they see someone nearby," they wrote while sharing the video.

One follower of the page wrote: “I must be blind I looked so hard at spot the snake and could not find it.” Another said: “Wow beautiful… just wanted to sunbake!” While a third commented: “He looked so comfy there.”
