Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said the country faces "decisive days" after he announced his government will order a two-week ban on commuting to all non-essential businesses starting on Monday.

Sanchez spoke in a public address to the nation on Saturday.

In the latest measures workers will be ordered to stay home in an effort to combat the new coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Spain reported 832 deaths reported on Saturday for a total of 5,690 fatalities, to go with 72,248 infections.

Its health authorities say, however, that the rate of infection growth appears to be slowing.
