Teenagers share old lookalike photos of their parents on Twitter

Recently, a Twitter user, posted a photograph of her brother and herself with her mother alongside a photograph of her father, and asked other users to do the same, starting a “trend” of everyone posting how similar they look to their parents around the same age. The tweet was posted on October 2, and since then, more than seven thousand people have commented by posting pictures of their parents along with them and their siblings. The user, Hailey also felt proud about “so much interracial love” under the post and she further said that she was “here for it”.

Netizens were impressed at the similarities in features between posters and their parents. While some of the users shared certain features with their parents, they were clueless about some of their own unique features. Other posters admitted that people could recognise who their parents were, or whose child they were, because of how similar their resemblance was to a certain parent. Hailey, who started the thread was also seen appreciating every single post and the user's look and called most of them “gorgeous”. People on twitter were also seen interacting with strangers about their skin routine along with the fitness regime.
