Thailand's Public Health Ministry said Tuesday that six more people have tested positive for a new virus, bringing the number of cases in the country to 14. All six cases are Chinese tourists from Hubei province who entered Thailand several days ago. They are from Wuhan, the epicentre of the viral outbreak.

The new cases are two women and four men ages 6 to 60. Five of the six new cases are family members. All six were admitted to a hospital in Nonthaburi province. Over 10 million Chinese people travel to Thailand each year.

Many are continuing to travel within Thailand and some say they see no problem in returning to their homes. Thai Airways International also announced measures to protect passengers, including using high-pressure hoses to spray disinfectant on all planes coming from China and other high-risk cities.
