A lot of social media trends have surfaced over the years such as the Kiki challenge, the Bird Box challenge as well as the Ice Bucket Challenge which took the internet by storm. Recently, a new challenge on Tik Tok seems to have taken over, wherein people are gluing their lips to make them look bigger in size.

A questionable TikTok challenge

Apparently, the viral trend kicked off with a girl by the name of Chloe Hammock on social media platform TikTok. In the video that went viral with over 7 million views, Hammock can be seen applying glue to her upper lip and then sticking it in order to have bigger lips.

There were a lot of people who tried this challenge and some of them tweeted the results that followed-

A woman with the username of She Who Can Not Be Gamed with severe lip deficiency, was compelled to try the viral challenge.

A few of the netizens shared their viewpoints with one saying that why did she not think of doing the exact same thing while someone else popped up a question asking, "how does she talk?"

A comparison with the Kylie Jenner Challenge

The viral trend will not cause that big a damage if compared to the Kylie Jenner challenge in 2015 that saw Kylie Jenner sticking her lips into containers that were small in size and sucking air out of it to have puffed lips. The unofficial advisory issued says that people with sensitive skin or an allergy should refrain from taking up this challenge.
