A transit worker in the San Francisco Bay Area quickly responded in the moment of crisis to save a man's life on November 3, netizens call him a 'hero'.

A transit worker in the San Francisco Bay Area quickly responded in the moment of crisis to save a man's life on November 3. The witness in the platform posted a video of the passengers applauding the worker to pull a man off the tracks exactly when the train was arriving on the platform. It was a matter of seconds and John O'Connor who immediately acted on time later said in a press gathering that there was really 'no time to make a decision'. However, as the netizens address him as a 'hero' and 'Angel', the co-worker feels it is 'awkward'. According to O'Connor, his reaction was obvious and the life of all human beings is precious.

Service providers honour their co-worker

Soon after the incident took place, the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit authorities honoured their co-worker for his rescue and addressed him as a 'humble hero'. The incident took place on the night of November 3 at the Coliseum station and John O'Connor, the Transportation Supervisor for nearly two decades. The authorities also revealed the CCTV footage of the entire incident which shows O'Connor pulling the man up from the tracks which they also referred to as 'amazing'. In the clip it can be seen that many people were surrounding the area, however, it was only the BART worker who reacted to save a life.

Netizens applaud O'Connor

While most people were amazed by Connor's reflex actions and attentiveness, some of them imagined the same danger scenario for themselves and how would they react. One of the Twitter users, also said that it was 'so close' as the time frame in which co-worker dragged the man on the platform were very low. However, amidst the praises of John O'Connor, some people were also seen commenting about the train's speed which according to them should have been slower than being seen in the clip posted by the transit provider.
