Ukraine was on Saturday sending medical experts and humanitarian aid to Italy to help it fight the coronavirus outbreak. For two weeks, 20 Ukrainian doctors will be working alongside Italian colleagues in the Marche region of central Italy.

On Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy signed a decree providing humanitarian aid to the Italian Republic.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.

For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and could lead to death.
