Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma offer prayers to the victims of Sri Lanka Terror Blasts. Here's what they said

Expressing grief over the terror blasts in Sri Lanka during the Easter  Mass on Sunday, Bollywood actors Vicky Kaushal and Anushka Sharma took to their Twitter handles to offer prayers to the victims. The act of terrorist has by far claimed 156 lives and around 400 have been injured.

Taking to Twitter, Anushka Sharma wrote: "Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this tragic act of violence in Sri Lanka. We are praying with you in this painful moment of sorrow, grief and shock." [sic]

Vicky Kaushal wrote: "Prayers for SriLanka 🙏🏽" [sic]

Actor Boman Irani too wrote: "Shocked to hear the extremely disturbing news coming in from #SriLanka. Had stayed at the hotels & it‘s heartbreaking to even imagine the situation.
My heartfelt condolences to the near & dear ones of those who lost their lives & praying for a speedy recovery of the ones injured." [sic]

Actress Soha Ali Khan, Huma Qureshi and others too condemned the attack.

On Sunday, which was the Easter Sunday, three churches- St Anthony's Church in Colombo, St Sebastian's Church in the western coastal town of Negombo and another church in the eastern town of Batticaloa and three hotels the Shangrila, the Cinnamon Grand, and the Kingsbury were targeted.

The blasts occurred at around 8.45 a.m. (local time) as the Easter Sunday masses were in progress, police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said. Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has chaired a high-level security meeting details of which are awaited.
