Widespread damage as typhoon hits north Taiwan

Typhoon In-Fa brought strong waves crashing onto the coast of northern Taiwan on Saturday.

Typhoon In-Fa brought strong waves crashing onto the coast of northern Taiwan on Saturday.

Heavy rain brought down trees and damaged houses.

The typhoon is moving toward China at a speed of 15 kph (9 mph).

It is expected to make landfall in China's eastern coastal province of Zhejiangon  Sunday afternoon or early Monday.

On its current track, In-Fa's eye is at 360 kilometers (about 225 miles) off Taiwan's northern coast.
