A 96-year-old Russian World War II veteran has been discharged from a Moscow hospital after recovering from the coronavirus.

"Oh, they treated me so well. I can't, I want to kiss them all," Anastasia Kurnosikh said of her doctors as she was being discharged.

Kurnosikh had been admitted to the hospital 20 days earlier with double pneumonia and has now fully recovered.

"We became really close with each other. First we had some serious talks to set our mind on recovery," said her doctor, Elena Pavlikova.

Her medical team also presented Kurnosikh with flowers.

Kurnosikh had participated in the Battle for Moscow during World War II and was injured during the war.

She will continue to receive blood thinners at home with regular checkups from doctors.
