Hundreds of demonstrators protested against police brutality on Monday in the Chilean capital of Santiago. The protest follows up a string of demonstrations since a video showed what seemed to be a police officer pushing a young man off a bridge during a protest on Friday.

The 16-year-old fell for 7 meters (22 feet) from the bridge to the Mapocho River bank, suffering several injuries. The incident is still being investigated, but the prosecution ordered the arrest of the officer implicated. The video has caused commotion in a country that is still dealing with human rights violations that occurred during the social unrest in 2019.
