Chinese ambassador to UK on virus outbreak

The Chinese Ambassador to the UK said President Xi was working with foreign governments to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Liu Xiaoming spoke to reporters outside Number 10, Downing Street on Friday, where he said "aggressive measures" had been ordered "to get control of it."

A COBRA (Cabinet Office Briefing Room A) emergency meeting was led by British Health Secretary Matt Hancock on Friday.

Guidance from Public Health England said doctors should check the travel history of patients.
