Prince Harry spoke out on racism on Wednesday. The Duke of Sussex said institutional racism was "endemic" and he was "committed to being part of the solution." The British royal's comments were broadcast on Wednesday during the virtual ceremony for The Diana Award.

The honours celebrate children and young people working to make positive changes around the world, by taking social or humanitarian action. Named after his mother Princess Diana, Prince Harry paid his respects to those collecting the award this year and spoke of his hopes for their future.

"I'm confident about the world's future and its ability to heal because it is in your hands. My wife said recently that our generation and the ones before us haven't done enough to right the wrongs of the past. I too am sorry. Sorry that we haven't got the world to the place that you deserve it to be," he said. More than 184 young people from 35 countries were honoured on the day the late Princess of Wales would have marked her 59th birthday.
