Queen Elizabeth publishes her first ever Instagram post at UK Science Museum, here's what it is

Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday published her first Instagram post during a visit to London's Science Museum. 

In her first post shared by the Royal Instagram account, she wrote about the letter that she discovered from the Royal Archives. Using an iPad, she shared an image on the official royal family Instagram account of a letter from the 19th-century inventor and mathematician Charles Babbage to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

"Charles Babbage, credited as the world's first computer pioneer, designed the 'Difference Engine,' of which Prince Albert had the opportunity to see a prototype in July 1843," her post read. 

"In the letter, Babbage told Queen Victoria and Prince Albert about his invention the 'Analytical Engine' upon which the first computer programmes were created by Ada Lovelace, a daughter of Lord Byron," the queen's post continued.

Further expressing pleasure on learning about the computer coding initiative during her visit to the Museum, the Queen stated that she published the Instagram post, at the Science Museum which has long championed technology, innovation and inspired the next generation of inventors.

The royal Instagram account was launched in 2013 and has 4.7 million followers.

The queen made her first telephone call in 1958, after which in 1976 she sent her first email from an army military base. In 2014, the queen allegedly sent her first tweet from the Science Museum and opened the Information Age gallery.
