Jeremy Corbyn, the UK leader of Opposition Labour Party on Saturday condemned the recent violent protests and vandalization of the Indian High Commission building in London during 'The Kashmir Freedom March' organized by the British Kashmiri groups. Many protesters gathered outside the High Commission earlier this week over the Kashmir issue. The protester threw eggs and vegetables on the embassy building and the demonstrators also smashed a windowpane of the High Commission. They were seen carrying flags of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and shouted “freedom” slogans. 

Jeremy Corbyn expressed his regret over the incident during his “productive” telephonic call with India's High Commissioner to UK Ruchi Ghanashyam. They discussed a variety of issues including the need for an urgent dialogue on the Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan.

The British denounce attack

David Vance of AltNewsMedia also tweeted claiming that the British Pakistani's were enjoying the support of the Scottish National Party.

“Many Pakistanis in Scotland are strong supporters of the separatist SNP. In return, the SNP is campaigning to reinstate Article 370 in Kashmir, so that non-Muslims there can continue to receive severely discriminatory treatment.” 

Another media personality and columnist, Katie Hopkins posted a video of her on Twitter showing the filthy mess caused by the agitators. She allegedly blamed Pakistan-origin London Mayor Sadiq Khan for the filth outside the embassy and said that it is shameful for Britain to do this to the embassy of India, which is UK's greatest ally.

The External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar claimed that India has considered these incidents to be “unacceptable” and had strongly urged the UK to take necessary action against the miscreants who were involved in it. The London Police has arrested two people who were connected with the protests. This is the second time that a protest took place over Kashmir issue outside the Indian Embassy in London. A similar protest was witnessed on Indian Independence Day as well.
