Visitors to Buckingham Palace saw another full day of activity on Saturday as the Royal Family carried out various duties.

Princes William and Harry and the queen's other grandchildren passed by Buckingham Palace in a convoy of cars as they made their way to Westminster Hall to hold a silent vigil for their late grandmother.

King Charles met five heads of state at the palace, including New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, who briefly left her vehicle to greet visitors outside before the meeting.

Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex, also met visitors and well-wishers.

Visitors who had spent hours at Buckingham Palace were finally able to see King Charles departing this evening.

The queen's coffin will lie in state at Westminster Hall for a fourth day on Sunday and a national minute's silence will be held at 2000 hours. More heads of state are expected to arrive in time for the funeral on Monday.
