Homeless, Go away: West Palm Beach officials play children songs on a loop to curb homeless trespassing

In a weird move to drive the homeless away, officials in West Palm Beach, Florida are considering to play children's songs throughout the night, as per reports.

Authorities hope that a continuous loop of children's songs throughout the night will prevent the homeless from sleeping on the patio that is owned by the city's rental banquet facility. The Director of West Palm Beach Parks and recreation Leah Rockwell said that the move has been taken to discourage people who use the spaces outside the glass-walled Waterfront Lake Pavilion for sleeping. She later added that the annual revenue generated from the parks is close to $240,000.

The continuous loop of 'Baby Shark' and 'Raining Tacos' is a temporary measure to keep the homeless from taking to the patio. Even so, Rockwell has asserted that the city is looking forward to formalize hours for the facility, thereby making these trespassing laws easier to enforce. Just because these citizens are homeless doesn't mean that their civil and human rights are voided. As proven with this city, the lowest economic citizens need more than money, they need their rights protected from their own cities bent on criminalizing being too poor.

However, Illaya Champion has said that he will still sleep there, but the repeated songs are bothering him.
