United States President Donald Trump in his address at the 'Howdy, Modi!' said that the Indo-American culture plays a vital role in enriching cultures and upholding values. "PM Modi and I have come to Houston today to celebrate everything that unites America and India, our shared dreams and bright futures. I have also come to express my profound gratitude to the nearly 4 million amazing Indian-Americans across the country. You enrich our cultures, you uphold our values, you uplift our communities, we love you and we are proud to have you as Americans," the President said.
He also thanked the Indian-American community and introduced the US ambassador to India and the External Affairs Minister of India S Jaishankar. "We thank you and we love you and I want you to know my administration is fighting for you each and every day. I want to introduce you to Ambassador to India Kenneth I. Juster and Minister Jaishankar of India, Thank you very much," said Trump.
The US President added: “My administration believes our first duty is to the highest loyalty of all we must always be for the American people whether its Africa-Americans, Hispanic-American, Indian-American we are going to take care of our citizens first, we are going to take care of our India-American citizens before we take care of illegal immigrants that want to pour into our country. He added, “everyday India-Americans help write this story of American greatness and everyone here today has a crucial part to play in building an even grander and greater American and Indian future.”
The US President further added, "I have also come to express my gratitude to the Indian Americans all across our country. you uphold our values. You are proud to be Americans and we are proud to have you as Americans."
