The United States President Donald Trump's daughter and White House adviser Ivanka Trump is supposedly being considered as for the position of World Bank President, following Jim Yong Kim's decision to step down.

A spokesperson for the Treasury Department told the Financial Times: "We are beginning the internal review process for a US nominee. We look forward to working with the governors to select a new leader."

Ivanka lacks a background in international trade economics, unlike other names on the list but has been a businesswoman.

The President of US has already been accused of nepotism for choosing to appoint his daughter as the special adviser for White House.
