Voting is underway across Nevada as the most diverse state so far has its say in the Democrats' nomination fight.

More than 200 people, gathered to caucus on the campus of the University of Nevada in Reno, are dividing into their precincts where the temporary precinct captains are counting the number of people in each of eight precincts.

That's the first step before they can elect a permanent precinct chairman.

Next, they will take about 15 minutes to align themselves into smaller groups based on their candidate preference.

That's called the first alignment to determine which candidates have enough supporters to be considered viable.

Before they decide who is viable, those numbers will be added to the early voter totals from the individual precincts.
