New York City police said they made several arrests Wednesday evening as the city entered day two of a curfew imposed to curb violent protests following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

New York City police said they made several arrests Wednesday evening as the city entered day two of a curfew imposed to curb violent protests following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Earlier, hundreds of demonstrators participated in a peaceful protest march in the city.

New York police said they arrested nearly 60 people at one intersection on the Upper East Side before the crowd dispersed. About 280 people were arrested on protest-related charges on Tuesday night, compared with 700 a day earlier.
