A seventh-grade teacher from California, Evelyn Lizette, shared the answer to a question she asked her students in a test paper. On a maths paper, she gave her students the opportunity to tell her a joke, for the chance of winning a bonus point. One of them gave a rather political tongue-in-cheek response. Take a look:

She then continued to explain that the kid in question was a smart, A-grade student.

However, this did not go well with some, who criticised her for 'getting political' in the classroom.
She hit back saying that she "doesn't suppress students right to free speech":
