Texas couple ties knot in hospital so that groom's father could attend ceremony

A couple in Texas, Aaliyah and Michael Thompson, decided to get married at a hospital so that the groom's father, who had been admitted there for surgery, wouldn't miss out on the ceremony and the hospital employees decided to make it special for the groom's father.

A wonderful gesture

The young couple got married at the Baylor Scott and White Medical center in Sunnyvale, Texas as Michael's father was recovering after emergency surgery. According to reports, the couple wore hospital required overalls on top of their wedding clothes and exchanged the wedding rings over the gloves. The hospital staff provided cake and grape juice.

However, the couple had planned a small and simple ceremony bu the staff ensured to make it as special as possible. While talking to a local media outlet, Michael stated that they had initially planned to keep it low key but the pastor came in and told the to-be-wed couple that a few of the nurses and doctors were coming in with a diabetes-friendly cake and a few other things.

Aaliyah said that they both knew how important it was that Michael's dad had the chance to attend the wedding. She further added that her father-in-law was continuously smiling during the entire ceremony and was really happy. After helping Michael's father not feel left out and conducting the wedding in the hospital, the couple went ahead and again exchanged their vows according to their original plan followed by a reception at their church.

Another unique wedding

A wedding picture of a bride and groom wearing protective masks in the midst of raging wildfires in California has garnered a lot of attention as they got their wedding pictures clicked in the vineyard in hazardous conditions.

The picture of Katie and Curtis Ferland, shows them standing outside California's Chateau St Jean winery in Sonoma County, which was not far from the raging wildfire incident that has burned more than 75000 acres of land.
