Conversations were candid

According to Tillerson, his conversations with President Trump in the privacy of the Oval Office were always 'candid' and 'frank'. He also said that his recommendations to the Trump administration were straight forward. However, once the decision was made by the leader, the State Department officials applied their best efforts to implement the decision. Tillerson believes that Haley was 'rarely' a participant in many meetings and that she is not in a position to know the comments exchanged between him and President Trump. However, Nikki Haley claims that both Tillerson and Kelly urged her to join them in going against the US President.
