The key witness of the murder of a black neighbour by a white Dallas police officer has been reportedly killed on October 5, 10 days after he testified at the high profile trial. 'Several gunshots'

The newspaper which reported the death of Brown, however, did not cite the authorities by name for the confirmation of the report. Local police later told media that many witnesses had directed them to the location in the apartment parking where Brown was found with gunshot wounds. Brown was later taken to the hospital. Purportedly, the witnesses even told the police about a silver four-door sedan speeding out after hearing the sounds of several gunshots.

The Guyger trial

Amber Guyger reportedly claimed that she mistook Jean's apartment for her own when she found his door ajar and opened fire, thinking he was an intruder. Brown testified in the Guyger's trial about the September 2018 night, who was in a hallway on the fourth floor. The 28-year old victim also heard what sounded like “two people meeting by surprise” and followed by gunshots.

Reportedly, during the trial of the case, Brown was seen getting emotional many times. He recalled having met Bothan Jean only once, hours before he was killed. However, he had heard Jean's singing across the hall every morning.

The lawyer of the Jean family, Lee Meritt said that he talked to Brown's mother who was shattered with the news. Meritt also stated that the authorities have not yet identified a suspect or the motive behind Brown's killing. Further, Meritt also believes that Brown deserves the same justice he was helping the Jean family to get.
